My Story

Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog!

I am a college freshman, double majoring in psychology and special education. I plan to be a school psychologist. While pursuing my degrees though, I also plan to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Up until my junior year of high school I was chunky and insecure, but never did anything about it. Somewhere around my sixteenth birthday I started to transition into my new lifestyle. So far on my journey I have found that I cannot simply limit things, I have to quit them. So I have gone 2 years without any kind of carbonated drinks, and 1 year without anything deep fried, battered, or breaded.

Shortly after I started to change my eating habits I also began to workout. I started with random things from Pinterest, and was doing ab workouts ever single night (I didn't know that wasn't ideal at the time). Since then I have opened up to Jillian Michaels videos, the Insanity program, and, most recently, the Tone It Up program. I absolutely love and swear by each one. I stay so much more focused when I use a program rather than designing my own workouts, it's just about making time for them.

Also on the exercise note, I loathe running. I will bike, I am learning to rollerblade, and I will walk, but I am the world's worst runner. (I'm working on it though!)

On to my personal life,

I have two siblings, ages 8 and 11, and I love them to death. But they are annoying and I'm sort of glad I'm moving out... :)

I also have a boyfriend of almost two years who is without a doubt my best friend. The only thing I don't like is that he doesn't eat veggies, but I'm training him. He is the one that keeps me going when I want to quit, and tells me I'm beautiful when I am discouraged. He is truly an amazing person.

Again, thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you find it helpful, motivational, and you find some yummy food!
